Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) clunk/ rattle under feet

my rig has had a front end clunk since new. goin slow down bumpy road or parking lots there is a clunk. feels like under your feet but i'm sure it's coming from up front??? drives me nuts...

97 2500 4X4 ex cab long bed

my truck does the same thing and i found that on mine that the trailig arms that go from the frame to the front end jack the truck up on the frame and let the wheels susspend in the air try shakin the front end see if anything moves . the bolts and bushings were loose on mine and i tighten them and it went away for a while now im gonna replace the bolts with a little bit bigger ones that might help a little or cure it but that will give you a place to start

Check your shocks. When I replaced mine, the bottom bolt didn't tighten quite enough, and I was able to wiggle the shock back and forth.

I also had a loose lower shock mount after replacement that I could feel in the floor. I tightened it a bit more and problem solved.

I'm installing a new T-Rex in a week I'll see if i still have a clunk after that. Hope not!!! I'll keep you posted.
