What about a kind of clunking noise with a little bit of a rubbing noise that sounds like it's comming from the left front wheel area. I can feel it in the steering wheel and brake pedal. It goes away when I put even a little pressure on the brake pedal. It doesn't do it all the time, but most of the time.

It's a 99 3500 4x4.

Track bar wear (does the end on the ds near steering gear move when and assistant moves the wheel back and forth, see tsb lukes link, moog replacement etc... ), ball joint wear, worn front u-joints (they usually click at slow speeds though), poorly releasing calipers, worn brake pads brake hardware.

When it does it, it does one time per wheel rotation. Does that narrow it down a little as to what it might be?

Thanks in advance.

Check the brake rotor, especially the back.

Corrosion can build up if it ever sat for a while and a lump of rust can be striking'rubbing one of the pads, or the rotor might be warped.
