From the time I picked up my truck, about 10 months ago, I noticed that my clutch was considerable heavier than anything I've driven before. I took it as it's a truck clutch compared to that of my camaro. Well today I finally got the guts to see if my pump wire had been tapped, which it had been. So my question would be how heavy would a stock clutch be compared to an aftermarket one. I am starting to suspect that it might have an aftermarket clutch since the pump wire has been tapped, and I'm just wondering if someone could help me confirm this possibly. I've gone through the system and it all seems to be good. Although I'm thinking that the way I'm going to find out is retap that wire and put some power to it and see if it slips.
I also noticed that the lift pump has been replaced with a Holley blue pump in the stock location, which is why I never put much thought into looking into it. Seems to be working well enough, can't pull below 8 psi and idles at 13 psi. I'm thinking it has as good of a chance surviving at the stock location as the OEM pump. Any thoughts?
TIA
Tom
