I got my Con 0 put it last week. I searched the archives but didn't find any info. What is the best way to "seat" the new clutch disc?

I also noticed it is slightly harder (more notchy) to shift the lower gears from a stop. Once it's rolling it is fine?

Looks like we've got the same truck. When I put in my Con-O, I just drove it without getting on it for a couple weeks and it was fine, never has slipped. As for the notichiness, did you have the flywheel ground?

You may need to hold the clutch in further. the new clutch will require extra clearance because of the relatively rough surfaces.

It should get better pretty soon.

I've got about 200 miles on my new 13" Con OFE. My pilot bearing went out and grabbed the input shaft and would not let go! So the Con OFE went in. Drove it aggressive by 2nd gear starts and just let it out without slipping much. After about 3-4 days of mixed commuting stop/go and highway, it settled down. Mine would not release fully exactly like you say, and it still takes a little push on the shifter to get it in, but no binding or grinding. I will say it is getting better, and I did adjust my floor mats over floor mats to get max pedal travel. But it does get better as time goes. The OFE does have the slightest hook at the end where it pulls in, but extemely smooth and controlable.

Also, as a side note, the 13" conversion has disc springs way outside, and all my 1000 rpm to 1250 rpm chatter and rattle is gone:D GREAT CLUTCH

My Con "O" was the same at first and sliped alittle when I first put it I just drove it in regular traffic niceley for a couple of days as hard as that was  and it got allot better

Sometimes the slave cylinder gulps a little air when you have it off. You can tell because you won't have the same stroke on the pushrod that you had. You can work the air out of the system if that happens by pumping the pedal on some off road hills. I used the levees out by my place to do it.
