Turbo timers....Best bang for the buck.

If the RE-0880 was too loud & the BHAF too quiet ...

Center twisted out of an popular aftermarket clutch after 28K miles, only about 2K towing. Truck is making power but NOT near the 1000lb. torque rating of the clutch. Has had no sled pulling or other abuse. I am waiting for any help from manufacture but I am over the one year warranty. A $1000 clutch should do better. Has anyone else had this problem.

It would help to know what aftermarket clutch it was. If it was a Southbend, I'm sure Peter would take good care of you. If it is another brand. . I guess you're on your own. .

I had a $1000 clutch once, it wasn't much better than stock, and ten times harder to drive.

I had to spend about twice that to get a good one, that did what they said it would.

I would have to say that I agree with sled puller on this one. There are lots of aftermarket supposed great clutches for trucks up around the 1000 dollar range. But to get a really good one you have to spend more than that and know what you are buying. Doing it once is a lot better than doing it many times.

Don't be shy, it's not bashing, just what happened. Say who it is, might help somebody down the road.

If the warranty is out you may be out of luck and the vendor as no obligation to replace it but maybe they'll step and go behond the call of duty. If for nothing then the good words they'll get around for backing their products. You have nothing to loose by naming them. Altough I hope you contacted therm first.

Afterall what happens when our trucks turn 100,001 miles? Warranty doesn't get any longer even if we don't abuse it.

Just my opinion,

Glenn
