Ive got a 2001 HO and the clutch just started to slip. It has an EZ and six speed and need a few ideas as to what one to buy. I am looking at South Bend's Con O and Con OFE. I have a few concerns about the grabbiness of the OFE but some guys say this is not a concern. I know the Con O is supposed to hold but I do put some good loads behind this truck occasionally. I drive many trucks and tractors so getting used to it won't be a problem. What do ya think.

See signature. The OFE isn't as buttery smooth on engagement as the stock clutch, but it's workable when spotting a trailer. Any chatter can be eliminated by bringing engine RPMs up to about 1000 and sliding the clutch as required - the OFE doesn't seem to mind this at all.

I've had about 30,000 slip free miles (some of which is towing heavy) with my Centerforce Dual Friction. However SBC prices have dropped considerably since I put mine in, so I would certainly give them a look if I was shopping today.

I have an ofe, it is grabbier for the first couple hundred miles, then it feels closer to stock.

I deliver travel trailerrs and customers want them in the gosh darn hardest spots on very little land, wish I had an automatic, but the ofe is not much harder to get around than the stocker.

never had another clutch besides ofe and stock
