Archived Clutch interlock problem, or maybe not?

Once again, my truck will not start. When I put the key in, the radio and accessories come on. When I turn the key, nothing happens - no starter, no anything.



I figured it was the clutch interlock, so I got some wire taps and tried to bypass the safety switch. The clutch interlock switch was loose and rotating around the master cylinder rod. However I still could not start the truck.



What do I need to do next? Is there a trick to bypassing the interlock, or is there a fuse/relay somewhere I should check?

I just tied the leads together to bypass it.

Loose and rotating, normal. The white retainer can be removed easily, pull body up and snap off of rod. Can be inspected and cleaned checked.
