well guy's it happened, my clutch pedal collasped on me when shifting gears this only happened about a block from my house it

was still driveable but i didn't want to take a chance of having it stuck in gear.

:{ checked for leaks there were no leaks, took it to transmission shop they said that master cylinder was bad. they had to replace the hole system master cylinder, line and slave cylinder and the clutch safety switch all for a total of $411. 00. they did a real good job :D now it shift smooth as a baby's bottom pedal even moves easer than it did. Oo. the truck has 54,000 miles on it.

Shortly after buying my 98 ISB Ram, I spent some time looking under the hood at that marvelous Cummins engine. I could not believe that Dodge chose to use a plastic master cylinder on the clutch. Mine has gone 80K miles but is beginning to feel a little rough when I push on the clutch pedal. Did your clutch give you any warning before it failed?

hi 15w40, no not really it just went, my pedal was hard to push for a while. just be ready when it does happened.

I've been having a problem with my clutch pedel going away when holding it in while backing up my travel trailer. I replaced the slave cylinder, did not help.

I called Peter at South Bend, he has the slave cylinder for about $30. 00 and the Clutch Master cylinder for about $60. 00. I told him to send be both of them.
