Ok Guys,
I am in the market for a new clutch. My SBC FE is beginning to slip in 6th gear. I am not sure of the HP, but its up there (but still not enough).
I have an 01. 5 ETH with 6speed. Jammer 4s, HX40w (set to 45psi), AFE Intake, Hot Rod VP44, TST PM3, SBC FE, FASS, 1/2 doz gauges, and I am sure there are more, I just can't think of them now.
The clutch has about 12,000 - 15,000 miles on it.
What are my options?
Should this disk (FE) be slipping with these mods?
I have never seen one slip like this, could there be something wrong with this disk?
If I go with a double disk, where should I look?
How many mods will need to be made if I do go with a double disk (to transmission/bell housing/flywheel)?
I plan on contacting Peter at SBC on Monday, but I just wanted everyone's opinion between now and then.
