it is kind of hard to describe but i will give it a shot. First the trans was hard to get in gear, all the time, just when stopped. not it is hard everyone once in a while and the clutch kind of squeaks or wines like a bird i guess you could say. As soon as i take my foot of the clutch pedal that is when it starts to make the noise. has anyone else had a problem like this and if so what did you do to fix it. i can live with he noise when the windows are up but then i cant listen to the exhaust. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I once had a Ford diesel that made the noise you described, did it only about the first week the clutch was in, then quit. Sounds like a bird stuck right under your feet, noise just up and quit after about a week though.

I had the squeak you describe and replacing the the release bearing and pilot bearing didnt fix the noise. I finally replaced the clutch hydraulics and the noise is gone (for now  )
