I have an appointment next week for my clutch rattle fixed? I would like to print out this thread and take it to the local dealer if I can get some help from those of you who have had it fixed or tried to have it fixed. It should be helpful for anyone else with this problem. I have seen other threads with part numbers, but there are all kinds of other issues in the messages.

PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD TO JUST RATTLE ISSUES!!!!!!

Just so we are on the same page, mine rattles intermittently whenever the clutch is engaged. It can be at idle, or full load (high RPM), but it is mostly at light to medium loads. I can feel it in the pedals and steering wheel when it happens. I always does it when starting from a stop and always idling in 1st or 2nd gear (like manuevering in a parking lot).

Maybe you can respond with something like this:

Your symptom:

part #xxxxxxxxxx

part #xxxxxxxxxx

(whatever the major parts are)

yep it is fixed - or - nope its not fixed

THANKS EVERYONE

I hope this is helpful for all of us still rattling.

JS, the steering wheel and pedal thing is the "vibration" issue, not the "rattle ". The rattle is when the clutch is out in neutral, push in and the rattle disappears, at work now will look up #'s tonight and post if no one does!! Mark

This is the # on mine

FP # 52107775-AC

DESCRIPTION-DISC CLUT 21133 419

I was told that they were coming out with a revised disk when I started talking to them about the rattle. So which is the supposed revised disk #?It doesn't rattle like it used to do in neutral but when you push the clutch in to shift you can hear(sounds like throwout bearing to me spinning down). Still(trans) makes noise when you are idleing along in 1 or 2. Maybe you just hear it more cause these engines are quiter. But my 5sp was quiet and shifted smoother than this 6sp. They can say what they want but they don't have it quiet right yet.

I f I am reading the invoice right the part number for the disc is-

1 52107775AC 21133036 DISC

It crossed my mind that they didn't do the exchange at all, but I can tell by looking that the transmission has been out.

Stick
Hope this helps

Peter

That # sounds right , judging by the AC at the end, that usually means 3rd revision AA, AB, AC, AD and so on !!
