Anyone ever hear of one of South Bends hydraulic set ups losing prime after sitting overnight?? I never have, just wondering is all!

This is the continuing saga of my 6 speed problems... Drive Line Service had the darn truck FOR 2 WHOLE WEEKS!!!!! Picked it up after close last Friday, anticipating 2 trips this week to Oklahoma for trailers. Drove home thinking " this is the most funkiest feeling clutch pedal I've ever experienced" WTF????? Saturday moring without starting truck I washed it, serviced the filters under the hood, then went to move it so I could hook up the enclosed to go racing that night, go to put in gear and will not go into any of them!!!!!!#@$%! Shut truck off, put in gear, push in clutch, start truck... . and away we go !!!! Had it flatbedded back there Saturday afternoon and "should be" getting iit back tomorrow, we shall see! Had to order in another hydraulic set up from Dodge:rolleyes: Guess SBC didn't want to send them another. . Good thing the 93 is around, pulled the racer out to the track the past 2 weeks, went to oklahoma Sunday to pick up the trailer someone "just had to have by this afternoon" :-laf and delivered 12 auction vehicles in the past 2 weeks!! :)

Sounds like the master cylinder is going. My 01. 5 went through 3 setups. The first was a line that popped out at the slave cyl. (a rolled pin backed out).

The second sounded just like yours - was intermittent for a couple of days - sometimes it would work and others not - then just went out completely. You could hear the fluid recirculating through the master cyl.

The last one started to feel 'funny', like the pedal had to go all the way to the floor before it would disengage, although it still worked fine. Since number 2 was under 12 months old, I took it back to Dodgeland in the NW and got a new setup under the parts warranty.

Good luck with yours.
