Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Clutch Slave and Master

Well it finally happened to me, I am currently nursing my leaking Slave? Master?



If I hold down the pedal with the truck in gear it will eventually take off on its own.



What is the current recomendation for replacement? Are you guys still putting in the 96-98' slave?

I bought a slave and master at NAPA for around 80 bucks two years ago. Took about 45 min with their instructions and it still works good

Well Napa here in CA now wants $82 for the master and $50 for the slave, its still about $110 cheaper than the dealer wants, plus the dealer didn't have it in stock.



Mine works fine, but there is a little bit more free play on the top, which goes away after a few pushes.

Last saturday, my brother had master and slave cylinders changed in his truck. Made the mistake of having the dealer do it. All he said was that he thinks he paid to much for it.
