Hi guys;

I've got a Southbend Con O clutch in my 99, which has and still is working perfectly for me. Great clutches.

Anyway, I've noticed recently on ocassion that when the clutch engages to the pressure plate, and I get a fairly quiet, but audible sound - not a squeek or squawk really, just a very low frequency short "wroop".

It appears that as soon as the clutch is not longer slipping at all against the pressure plate, the sound is gone. It only lasts for a third of a second or so.

This sound only seems to happen just as between the time the clutch face and pressure plate start to have significant "grab" friction to the point of full grab.

Has anyone else ever heard this - is it somewhat normal?

Other than this small sound, the clutch works perfectly and doesn't slip at all.

Thanks,

Shawn
