Recently I think I've been noticing a vibration when the clutch pedal is depressed - as near as I can tell it seems more apparent when upshifting gears rather than pushing the clutch in and out when at a stop and in neutral.

Any ideas? :(

Is the clutch still the original? I'm not sure what to think if you only encounter it while accelerating and not at a stop or downshifting.

Yep, it's the original. No slipping, no other symptoms. Never have beat on this truck since brand new 108K miles ago. Still have some life left on original brakes.

Maybe it's just my imagination - like "automatic rough" in an airplane - always occurs at night over water in a single engine plane (stupid move in and of itself) - "Gee, does that engine sound like it's starting to run a little rough?" :D

My clutch was having a similar problem. I finally broke down and bought the SB ConO. At 177k there was still plenty of stock clutch left. However, the pilot bearing was destroyed. The throwout bearing had some serious drag.

Yeah, I would check the pilot bearing as well as the throw out bearing. I know this can't be done without removing the transmission, but that is my best guess as to what is going out. The clutch itself usually lasts a lot longer than the bearings, go figure... .

That's the direction my thinking is going on this. Pilot bearing or throwout bearing. Hey, 108K so far - not too bad. I need a new clutch and trans  anyway.
