I have been having problems with my 08 Ram, 70k miles, G56 transmission not wanting to go into gear from neutral with the engine running. If I ease out on the clutch or turn the engine off it would shift just fine.

I assumed that it must be time for a clutch cylinder replacement so I ordered a SB HYD-X-750 to replace the factory unit.

After installation of ther master slave unit last night I now have a new problem. With the adjustment rod adjusted for maximum stroke the clutch will not fully disengage.

Is the 750 not a direct replacement, have I done something wrong or do I have another problem.

Any input would be helpfully.

Thanks!!!

i do not think the sb is a direct replacement. the problem with your 06 is the dual mass flywheel we have three 06's and had to replace all three before 50k miles the kit you bought will be needed for the other items you need from sb it is part # MUG56ConOFE. once installed no more dmf or clutch problems.

I think you may be right CKelly1. When I got in from work today I adjusted the master cylinder arm to maximum length. The clutch seemed to work fine for a few miles then I could not get it to go into gear again. It seems as if the clutch is malfunctioning.

I sent an email to SB to confirm if the 750 is a direct replacement for the factor clutch cylinders. I will let you know what they say.

Thanks for the reply.

I heard back from SB Clutch this week and the 750 is not a direct replacement.

From the problems that I am having Peter from SB seems to think that I have a clutch or a tramission issue. Only one way to find out.

GET rid of the DMF and put in a Con OFE... I did on mine a month ago. It is a good combo. You will hear more gear noise if you lug it but mine is quiet in neutral, clutch out.
