August Dyno Day

Hi all

We are full time rv'ers. Will be in Boise for a month starting end June.

I have a 04. 5 3500 dually six speed manual and 107k miles.

We tow a large fifth wheel.

My stock clutch is in need of replacement.

I usually do all my own work but this is hard to do in an RV park.

I spent last summer in Arco ID and rebuilt My front end with ball joints and free spin kit and a one piece driveline and a new cp3

Does the club have any suggestions on members that work on trucks like this or is there a awesome shop to do the work.

I want to put in a south bend kit.

Thanks for any help or ideas.

If you can drive your truck to Bend Oregon there is a shop called "Performance Authority" that does excellent work. You can google them and check out their website. I had my SB clutch package done there a year ago and have towed my fiver several thousand miles without a complaint. I might have the name of the shop backwards could be "Authority Performance". Hope this helps.

I'm not much help with the install because I'm diagonally across the country from you, but I will say that I think you are making 2 wise choices. The first being the South Bend clutch. I'm on my second one in 3 turbo diesel trucks and the first truck was an automatic. The second wise choice is getting member advice or using a member's business to do the install. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Also, this would be a great time for fresh trans oil.
