I have a 01 5-speed with dd2 and edge comp box. My stock clutch is shot so if you guys could help me out with which one I should get. When I'm all done I won't to have at least 550hp. so do I need one a lot bigger or one that is right at 550.

thanks

Just got my SouthBend Con FE in this weekend. Still breaking it in, but initial impression is great. I don't feel any change in pedal effort, engages a little earlier in the travel, and a little grabbier than stock but hardly noticeable(haven't towed yet). B1-B and Mach3's waiting in the garage, I'll be bombs away this weekend!

We use our truck exclusively to tow a 13,500 lb 5th wheel and my BHP ambitions aren't nearly as aggressive as yours (see signature). As you can see, we have the SBC Con OFE, necessitated by the EZ/DD2 combination as the addition of the injectors smoked the stock clutch. :(

The Con OFE works fine except for extremely low speed maneuvering where it's not as smooth on engagement as the stock clutch, although part of that is tied to the "romp romp" of the larger injectors when the load hits the engine at idle. My understanding is that the FE will be somewhat less friendly under these circumstances than the OFE, but it may be the compromise you'll have to make at the BHP levels you're targeting.
