I saw an ad in Light and Medium Truck that Ram was offering a CNG fueled truck to fleet customers. It was going to be based on the 5. 7 liter Hemi. Has anyone else seen this? The ad said to look at Chrysler's fleet website for more information.

Sorry to pull up such an old thread, but I spotted one of the CNG fueled Hemi trucks for the first time leaving work today. I'm not positive what company owns this truck since it looks to be literally brand new and isn't lettered yet. But, I think that he was leaving one of the Chevron well sites, so it is most likely one of theirs or one of the engineering companies like Baker-Huges, etc.

The CNN truck looses the front half of the bed for the tanks. They have separate fuel injectors for the cng most. Everything is controlled by the pcm

I could't tell from the back, but it looked like there was some type of cover over the front 2-3 feet of the bed over where the CNG tank would be.

Yes the tanks are covered and there is an access door to get to the electrical and mechanical shut off valves as well as the 1/4 turn safety shutoff valve.

I'm not shocked to see them start to show up here at this point. Probably a combination of purchase incentives and the publicity of converting some of these fleets to "green" or "cleaner" fuel. Lots of articles in our local papers lately on the subject.

Not to mention advertisement for all the fracking that is coming in to the area. Locally in our county it is being met with heavy resistance but its happening all over central/northern OH and western PA

Ram has had adds on this and its been on the home page of this forum for a while. Its aimed at the commercial side more than the privete sector.
