I didn't want to reply to this in the beginning because I thought you were crazy for doing this to your roof! Now that it's done, it looks way better than I thought it would!!!!!!

Any idea how much weight you added to your truck? moving weight up would have been my concern. How big of dents were they?

Do you notice any other changes driving? like less wind nosie or ?

There can't possibly be much weight up there. If we assume it's 1/8 of an inch thick and the density of Line-X is roughly that of water, the total weight would be about 23 lb.

The dents were dimples about the size you'd expect if a golf ball were to smack your roof at high speed. Maybe 1/16" deep? There were 3 or 4.

I just washed the truck for the first time since getting this done, and found that you can still see the dents if you're standing in the bed and the roof is wet and the light conditions are just right. I expected that - I didn't ask them to pop the dents, just coat right over them.

I've not noticed any change in interior noise.

I wish I woulda seen this sooner!! Im a huge line-x proponent. My dads 86 CJ7 jeep is entirely line-x'ed hemi orange and black. Everything, even the bolt heads. My grill and stuff on my 04 is line-x'ed white.

The weight isnt a big deal. We had my dads jeep entirely apart and it didnt feel too heavy to put back together. We didnt weigh the tub or anything, but it wasnt drastic. My grill, I could tell a touch as my hood struts were worn and marginal before. After they didnt work at all.

It doesnt do a "great" job at hiding dents, however. The texture creates shadows, so you can see dents that a paint job might hide. BUT, I think it does hide a LOT. We simply sandblasted the jeep and had it coated. No body work at all. At a distance the orange almost looks metallic.

When it comes time to paint the cummins/ramcharger, Im going to linex the rockers, hood, and removeable top. And inside probably. It seemed to help noise and heat rejection in the jeep a decent amount.

Edit: If it doesnt have "xtra", the top coating, it will chalk and look like crap quick. My grill is xtra and its ~3 yrs old and looks brand new. The jeep has been done for about 1. 5 years... and it still looks great even with the new mexico sun beating on it.
