Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Code 0237

My check engine light has been coming on and off for a couple days now got the codes read yesterday and 0237 is what came up and that means Map Sensor Voltage Too Low. How can I fix this and what is making it do this. The first time that I seen the light come on I was just idling for ten minutes or so hop back in and the light was on. But it has came on when I was just driving down the road at cruise speed. Thanks for the help.

I was having the same issue. First thing I did was unhook the map sensor connections (in my case I have an ez so there are two). I inspected them carefully and they looked good. I then used some dielectric grease and put it back together. No problems for about 2 months. Then just the other day it happened again. I just happen to have a new map sensor laying around from the previous time that I did not put on. I replaced it and it has not returned yet, but it has only been a few days.

Thanks Barry just tried the grease and we will see. How much was it for the new sencor.

I had the 0237 code, and the dielectric and cleaning did the trick. That was over a year ago...
