Code 0299? Underboost....

[Bug Out]

I have 17500 miles on my 2020 RAM and today while moving a RV that weighed in at 4500 lbs, up popped the check engine light...When I heard that infamous "ding" that sounds like no other, I first thought its CP4 time....But she kept going and I was curious what caused it. Got home and checked it was 0299. Looked up a bunch of posts and most of them said loss of power etc. Nothing happened with mine. Kept on rolling like normal... Was it a fluke or?

Last week the DEF warning popped up on the dash, "go see the dealer for service" for a split second, then never came back.....
Does my ECM have a case of Psychosis or should I schedule a appointment 2 weeks out as the service guy said they were at?
Anybody else with similars?

Found a TSB flash update for when that one pops up, it could apply to your truck. Also mentions some DEF stuff it addresses a few things.

It's kinda a work in progress orignal is from Feb, then updated Rev A in March, then again in June.

Depending on the type of CP4 you have will determine which flash you get if it applies.

The older style Asymmetrical has 4 small machined dots on the upper right of pump, the newer Symmetrical style has a larger single machined dot on the upper right and 4 or 5 smaller machined dots on the lower right.

Moparinsiders posted these pics to tell the difference. Not that you need to tell them that, just thought it was intresting to see how to tell the difference.

Mine did this back in April. The dealer has been trying to figure it out since then, including the reflash. Still codes for under boost and now it has progressed to an EGR issue and they are back ordered. Haven't been able to tow anything over 5000# all summer. I'm so done with this piece of crap. As soon as the EGR is replaced and the codes go away I'm getting rid of it.

Do you know when you had the last flash done?

The Rev B of this one it's been 3 months and not published on most other sites.

Seems like a work in progress on this one.

I last had the truck in the shop in July. Not sure if they attempted any reflash then.

Found it, the only difference is one additional code, it never really details actually flash numbers or how to check the software versions, so it could be all the same from March and you have what you have, which sucks.

Too big to upload, but its identical pretty much to Rev A that is available all over.

Thanks for the info. It won't take much to get me to get rid of the truck and RV. Been Rv'ing 25 years and only need a minor hiccup at this point with a 70K truck to trash the whole bunch. Very disappointed with the CP4 issue and this truck throwing a code I have never seen in the last 5 CTD's I have had. Hope its just a reflash.Thanks
