Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) code 128

A code 128 keeps coming up, check engine lite comes on. sometimes the engine temp is normal, sometimes cold.

If I change the thermostat wha else do I need to do?



2002 24 valve 120,000 miles everything else is fine Thanks

After a number of good trips the light will go out or you can clear the code and it will be gone

It's possible the ECT (Engine Coolant Temp) sensor is faulty and should be replaced. It's easy to do.
