Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Code 1689 - I think it is the VP44

Driving along and it just plain died on I-5 today. No warning, and 30 minutes or so before the fuel pressure was fine in the truck. I think the VP44 just went down. :{ I do get a psi or two from the lift pump, but I am not sure if that is now fried as well. When I first turn the ingition, i get a bump in pressure, but when I bump the ignition, I get nothing. When the VP44 dies does the return open?



Ok for the big question, Industrial Injection, or Blue Chip??? Are thier others out there.

maybe it's the lift pump--can you hear it running when you bump the starter???... . www.jandhperformance.com or Winspeed 1-925-370-7245 are two places here in CA that I recommend---but where are you---J&H is in Redding and Winspeed is in Martinez----there's Craig Johnson down south also---chris
