Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Code 253..Should I be Nervous??

Does anyone have any experiance with a Code po253. This code appeared after messing around on 5x5 Should I be nervous?

 

[TORQUE THIS]

P0253 (M) Fuel Injection Pump Fuel Valve

Open Circuit

Problem sensed with fuel circuit internal to fuel injection

pump.





Might be due to lack of fuel pressure.

So in other words stop messing with 5x5 until I get the fuel system up to snuff, and hopefully I wont have any problems!

Me thinks Im gonna get me a PE4200, to go along with my New Hood that arrived today, and my skyjacker front springs that are on the way

Check all your connections on the comp (including the wire tap)

Forget the PE pump, get a FASS.

I was getting that code and a stumble, after much messing around it was traced to the Comps ground wire going to the intake horn. I ran the ground to the battery and the problem hasn't come back in quite some time.
