Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) code 253

ok, ive got a question for you guys. this evening i was showing off when i left the bar, and i really got on it with the truck, i noticed that the check engine light came on. whenever i got home, i checked the codes with Smarty and the code number was 253. could someone explain to me what this code means. thanks for the info!!

I recieved that code and the final solution came to replacement of the fueling box. Clear the code, check the pump tap making sure you do not have an intermittent connection. If it shows up again disconnect the comp completely as turning it off does not help and see if it reappears. It could wind up to be the VP44 but I would try to isolate the add ons first.
