I can't find the meaning to this code 0062. The truck is a 04. 5 w/crazy larry & Quadzilla boost fooler only making 18psi. Remove the boost fooler & code goes away & boost will go to 27psi. I am thinking it is a bad map sensor, but need to find out what the code means. Any help is appreciated.

Are you talking about an OBDII Code P0062? That woul be for the Wide Band O2 sensor on a gasser but souldn't appear on your truck.

Could it be a:

P0622- generator field fault

or a

P0068-Map/TPS correlation error

I was pulling a trailer when all of a sudden it felt like a intercooler boot flew off... . pulled over & checked everything out & no problems found. I checked codes with the T-Dog & 1 code set 0062... . no p just 0062. I got out & unhooked the boost fooler from the map circuit & everything is back to normal... runs great. I think the quadzilla boost fooler is bad considering that it lowers the boost by 10psi when installed... . unless it just doesn't show up on the outlook monitor. The truck does seem to run better with the fooler installed.

Any other ideas? I was told today that 0062 was a wiring harness malfunction code in the map circuit. I wrote the code on paper when it showed up on his T-dog & it is 0062.

I don't know what a T-Dog is. Does it plug in to the OBD-II Connector under the dash? Maybe try a conventional diagnostic scanner (if the T-Dog is not one)to see what codes are stored.

I'm sorry..... It is a Bullydog Triple Dog Downloader w/outlook monitor. I didn't have my scan tool with me when it happened. I had to erase the code to drive the truck home..... it hasn't come back yet in 300miles, but I don't want to not know what it is.

It appears that the MAP sensor problems lie in the Outlook monitor. I am not sure what they are doing but, it causes the truck to do some bad stuff?

Also the boost readings will never be right with the Outlook and anything that does boost fooling because it is reading OBD2 data which is fooled from the boost "fooler"!

Let me know what happens. Also you might just disconnect the MAP sensor on the OUtlook and see what happens.

I will try disconnecting the map & see what happens. I was told that Crazy Larry doesn't do boost fooling. I had Crazy Larry stacked on EZ & took the EZ off to use the Quad Boost Fooler because I was told that the EZ does boost fooling. I'm confused.

The programmer itself does not do any boost fooling and you do need a boost fooler. That is not the issue.

The issue is that the Outlook monitor is doing something weird with the MAP sensor and causing the truck to freak out.

The reading on the outlook is not right only when using a boost fooler or module or something that does boost fooling. The way a fooler works is that the fooler provides false signals to the ECM and the ECM reports the data on the OBD2 bus which is where the Outlook is reading.

If you want a true reading you need an analog gauge or a digital gauge like the Commander that reads actual boost at the MAP sensor and not off of a data bus.

The outlook did only read 18psi boost, but it did seem to get higher. Thanks for your help... . I'm gonna unplug the outlook & try it out. I will post results.
