code I haven't seen before

I checked the codes on my truck today and have a code I haven't seen before.



P-0700 The list I have says "transmission Control System (mil Request)"



Has anyone run into this one before and if you have,what does it mean?

From the lack of replies it looks like you're out there all by yourself. No one else has as many miles on as you do. Please let us know when you find out the meaning of the code and the reason it is showing up.

The truck is having no transmission problems at all, just the code. I took it to the dealer and talked with the tech that has worked on my trucks for the past 5 yrs. He put the star scan on it and it showed 0 pending problems and 0 something else, I don't recall what it was. Said it was probably just an electronic hicup and said it would probably clear itself in a few more cycles. He went ahead and cleared the codes and it has not come back so I'll just watch it and hope that is all it was.

Good. I'm glad to hear the apparent problem has gone away. I'm hopeful that the Aisin will run for 400k or 500k miles pulling the kind of loads you pull everyday without any problems.
