Can anyone help me with this code p 1693. This is the truck listed in my signature. When I get into the peddle it feels like the motor is surging(not drasticly very light but, noticable) Thanks--Chris

how do you bleed a fuel line?

my son has run my '01, 1 ton dually out of diesel and has refueled but needs to bleed the line to get it running. i'm not sure to tell him how to do that. can anyone help?

well, the boy just called to say he got it running. i guess there's a reason the USAF pays him to work on B-1 Bombers... he can mechanic. now if he'll just pay attention to his gas gauge (it may be a good thing he doesn't fly

B-1's  ) thanks anyway... JBarr

I called PDR and they said it is the injection pump :{ . Does any one know of a performance pump ? If I'm going to replace it I might as well up grade. It is 1400. 00 from them(stock) and they don't sell the hot rod vp44 anymore. It would be nice if someone coud tell me that is not the problem and all I have to do is honk the horn a hundred times and the engine light will go out.

Thanks-

OK I'm game

Hey CTomasino the VP44 isn't the problem, all you have to do is honk the horn 100 times and the light will go out. I've had rather good results getting my light to go out by hitting the brake pedal after the 50th honk (not before and definitely not during) and just before you honk the 51st time (be sure to take foot off brake pedal or you have to start all over again) flash your head lights twice - (make sure you don't turn on driving lights if you have them) after the 100th honk turn the key on-off 3 times and say "Bing, Bing, Bing - Ricochet Rabbit" . ;)

I feel your pain. I could swear somone just posted last week about installing his newly received hot rod VP. I'll see if I can find the post and copy to you.

Good Luck w/the install.
