Driving to work today I got a check engine light and codes

P0500, P1693, P0237. Got to work cycled the ignition a few times to verify codes. Started it up a few times codes and light remained. Afterwork the Magical Cummins Fairy must have flown by because no more Check Engine Light. Got home only the P1693 and P0237 codes remained. Disconnected the ground cables for 30 minutes, now only the P0237 remains. From what I have found this is "Low Voltage to Map Sensor". Could this be an indication of my COMP going bad? Tommorrow I'd going to completely remove the COMP to see if the code clears? Any other Ideas welcome and appreciated!

Thanks

Matt

Matt, I'm sorry to double up on your post, just trying to kill to birds with one stone.

A friend of mine just called me from Cambridge, Maryland, on a working vacation with code problems,

P-PCU

P-1693

P-ECU

P-0216

Can anyone decipher these codes for me so I can call him back and try to get him some help checking his lift pump fuel preasure.

He has an 01 4X4 3500 and is a TDR member. I will be his TDR contact via the cell phone for now.

Thanks, TJ

Tjlaffite the 0216 code if for timing on injection pump. P1693 i wouldn't worry about. I've had that code in my truck for about 70000 miles now. The 216 code i would worry about.

Jerryrigg P0500 is for no vehicle speed sensor signal.

P0237 is for map sensor low voltage.

P1693 is for code detected in ecm or pcm
