P0234 Turbocharger Overboost Condition

I checked it again, and got code P0243. Is it safe to drive???

According to Diagnostic Codes for OBDII Code P0243 is a Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid A malfunction.



Does this sound correct? I'm going to call the dealer.

The WG solenoid is malfunctioning. Worst thing that will happen is boost will be limited to around 25 psi. If you want the boost back put a small vice grip on the boost reference hose.
