Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Code P0473

1998 1/2, 24 valve. About every other week I run a scan tool on the truck as part of my maintance routine and low and behold this time I got a code P0473, exhaust pressure sensor high. I didn't have a light on the dash. Now I thought I knew my old truck pretty well but I didn't know I had one of those!!! I've tried to look up the location of the sensor in Hynes as well as online but can't find anything plus I can't find a senor on the exhaust pipe. I have trouble believing I have high pressure in the exhaust with a 4" straight pipe so I think it must be a sensor or wiring????

Any advice on where the darn thing might be.

Are you sure thats the code? There are no exhaust sensor on your pickup

Thanks for the reply, in further research I found that my son never cleared the scan tool and the code was from his vehicle. Once I cleared the machine I re-scaned my truck and all was well. Feel like a dummy for not checking first.
