I have the truck at the dealer, and they have been in contact with Star but no answers as of today.



To give you and idea on the problem the oil pressure gauge drops to zero and the alarm sounds. We have checked the pressure with a positive gauge and it does have pressure within specs. But the computer say zero.



So far we have replaced the oil sender, and the ECM. The wires have been traced and check out.



The oil is not diluted and the pressure drops only occurs when the engine is hot and idling.

Puller,
I assume this is the in regards to the same thread that you posted in the 3rd gen ? You had some experienced guys respond back to some are techs and some are very knowledgeable not sure you will gather anything else by posting here. The 911 is reserved for emergency breakdown on side of road. Hope you get your problem resolved.
