Code p0581 Help?

Getting a p0581 code, cruise control will not turn on, airbag light is on and the horn is not working. Only thing in have done was add an Pac Exhaust Brake. Truck runs and drives great EB works too. 2003 HO with 6 spd manual.

Cruise control switch or wiring problem,if it happened when you did the e brake install go back and double check everything you touched or were near

The cruise control worked for a couple months after the e brake was installed, but it was the last time I messed with any wiring.

I did remove the steering wheel all wiring appears intact and connection are clean tight.
Cleared the code, but the airbag light is still on and cruise control won’t turn on.

That points to the clockspring further testing to verify is needed.A good scanner will be the fastest way to verify.

Ended up changing the clockspring and all is good.
