Code P0839

Hey all, just checked my codes and I got P 0602 (check sum) and P 0839 (4 Wheel Drive Switch High?)... I cleared them out and checked agian after driving and the 0839 was back. Any idea what is causing this? Is there any possibility that 4 wheel drive is still engaged? The light isn't on, but I used it yesterday, took it out (or so I thought), and then I drove all day today (about 300 miles towing about 12k), and I used a whole tank of fuel, so I only got about 10 mpg... ordinarily would get 14 or 15 in same scenario.



Any help would be much appreciated!

Jack up just one front wheel (under the axle). If you can't turn it by hand, it's in 4x4.
