Morton Buildings?

Storage of flammable liquids - using a dead fridge?

OK, I need some advice:

I need an OBD2 Code Reader. My goals are:

-Inexpensive

-Versatile

-Able to read and clear codes

The vehicles in my family that I tend to work on regularly:

-2003 Dodge Ram 2500 CTD

-Many different BMW's

-Volkswagen Passats (an 02 and an 03)

-2001 Mazda Protege

-2005 Toyota RAV 4

-2006 Dakota

Any thoughts? Can a Smarty read and clear codes other than the Dodge Ram?

For inexpensive, that will do all those cars; a code reader from Harbor Freight may be the ticket... I wouldn't want one for a commercial garage, but they work well for the average joe.

I just bought a small one that will do the CAN for $60... it does flash frame, reads and clears codes... works as well as my Actron does (long story, my Actron was in another car/state and I needed a code reader).

I know it will do my Subaru, 2004. 5 truck, the wife's 2000 Mustang, and the bosses 2004 Audi and 2000 Volkswagen, and a coworker's 2004 Jeep.

Make sure the one you get has the codes internal (so it reads the code AND tells you what it means)...
