P1693 (M) DTC Detected in Companion Module A fault has been generated in the companion engine

control module.

P1693 (M) DTC Detected in PCM/ECM or DTC

Detected in ECM

A 9Companion DTC9 was set in both the ECM and PCM.

P0234 (M) Turbo Boost Limit Exceeded Problem detected in turbocharger wastegate.

Check fuel lines - could be getting air in causing long crank. Look at lines from VP to injectors especially at the nuts for signs of fuel leak = place for air to get in.

Do you have gages on this one yet? Verify LP psi not less than 10 at any pedal position is acceptable.

Keep us posted.

John,

Welcome to the TDR!

Try replacing the MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) sensor and see if that fixes the problem. The MAP sensor is located on the left/rear side of the cylinder head just aft of the fuel filter canister. Don't confuse it with the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor, which is located even further aft on the left/rear side of the cylinder head.

Good luck,

John L.

My 2000 did the surging thing under light load and mild acceleration and was non existant with wide open throttle. The grounding solution from Suncoast Transmission solved the problem. Cut some wires, add a ground= cheap fix (for the surging, at least. )

I had a post about this in Truck 911 while I was on vacation pulling my fifth wheel. You will learn to love all the help you can get from the endless collective knowledge from the TDR Members! They will save your bacon!
