codes on a dakota

Can anybody tell me what the code p 0442 is on a 2003 dakota w/v-6. Thanks, Dean

"A leak has been detected in the Evap. system". Part of the emission control system. bg

Check the gas cap. A loose gas cap will trip that code.



My brother's truck tripped the came code. New gas cap fixed it. His was tight, just needed replacing.
