Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) codes set??? by what???

Ok here is the scoop.



I have had the computer set codes:



p0234- engine overboost condition

p1693- turbo charge control circuit malfunction

p0500- vehicle speed sensor malfunction



I can understand the speed sensor, maybe, I have bigger tires and spun on ice this last weekend.



I am baffled by the other two, is my EZ gone and setting codes or is there something else. Power is still fine. No check engine light.



Any ideas out there, not even sure what p1693 would be, as far as hardware related.

Sounds like an overboost is all that happened, lots of guys have reported the P500 with no problems or repairs needed.



Take a look at the connections on the EZ, make sure the winter weather did not create some corrosion. Dielectric them when cleaned and it should be OK. I am not sure if those codes will clear once you have X normal starts or not, some do... ...
