Well the other day i was hammering it, and the mil came on. Truck still ran great, plenty of power. Well I borrowed a superchips today to check the codes and I found I had a 253 set. I tried to clear it and no luck, supertuner made the mil flash twice, then said "error" tried several times to reset it and no luck, cycled power, pulled batteries for about 20 minutes. I ran in to the TDR and did a search on 253 seemed to be connnection related, i recently had a new head gasket, and the TSB 19-019-01(cold weather high idle). I thought maybe someone knocked a connnection lose, so i check, all connections on the pump(pump wire, ground) no luck. I then tried to pull the power off the back of the comp, and then I re read the DTC's it said two codes, 237 and 253. I figured disconnecting the comp probably coaused the low map error. I disconnected the comp(diagmostic port) pump wire and still not able to get either fault to reset. I tried several times to clear them with the superchips programmer and no luck. Several questions, why can't I clear the codes, and should I be concerned about the 253 code?? Thanks.

The trucks not running and the key is on when your trying to clear the codes right????

ON the COMP box you have to ground to the battery and I had to sodder my pump wire to keep the 252/253 codes away. your tapper might be slowly cutting thru the wire.
