About two weeks ago i put in a new Industrial Injection injector pump and a RASP fuel system because the old one was going out. I left the comp untapped at the time because the cover was still on order. It came and I just installed the cover and tapped the wire. On the test drive at wide open throttle the check engine light came on and 0122, 1594, and 1693 all came up. Whats the deal? Is there something I am missing or what?

Thanks for the help

Tristan

P0122

Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Signal Voltage Too Low

P1594

Charging System Voltage Too High

P1693

DTC Detected In ECM Or PCM

Reset the APPS then? The overvoltage code had first popped on when I was trying to start it after the injector pump.

The 1693 then is coming on because of the 0122?

Yep reset the APPS using the voltage method and a meter. Search the threads for resetting the APPS voltage method. If you don't find it I can dig it up for you. Just let me know ;)

You are correct ;) about the P1693, its a companion code. That basically says you set a different code.

Not real sure about the P1594. But some one will chime in real soon I'm sure who does know. Might try a search for P1594

The 1594 popped when I was trying to start it and the injector pump and RASP install. There is a fitting on the feed line that I forgot to check to see if it was tight. Checked everything but forgot that one and so I was cranking on it for a while and drained the batterys. Then tried started it with the charger on and thats when I saw it pop.

After I was PI$%#& to holy hell I got underneith and saw the one fitting I forgot to check. Tighened it and 3 hits of the lift pump and it fired right over. :-laf Felt kind of dumb after that!!

I think that is what caused the 1594 but I will reset the APPS hopefully tomorrow night and see if that works.

This truck is wicked fast compared to before though! Now I need a turbo as I pegged the Autometer EGT gauge just trying it on 5x5!

Now the whole story comes out :-laf :-laf :-laf

Slow down next time, and double check before you get to anoxia to try out the new bombs :-laf :-laf :-laf

Hey RA how do you like the fuel pressure gauage where it is mounted. I have been thinking about putting mine there as I dont really have a spot for it. Easy to read and such??

Thanks for the help

Tristan

Tristan, Its real easy to see were I have it mounted. al thou there are a couple of draw backs. First is it blocks by wait to start light, so I have to look around it every morning. The other is it interfered with my steering wheel. The Auto Meter I have chosen has a higher lip or bezel on it, about 3/8". Any way it contacted the steering wheel on the back so I had to do a little engineering to set it back farther so as not to contact it. I would have gone to a different manufacturer with a shallow bezel, which I have seen since. But I had already purchased all the matching gauges, so I made it work.

And that gauge you chose was an ultralite too? Thats what I have on the pillar. Have to think it over because I am also adding an air pressure gauge for the compressor and tank I am adding and would like to have them next to each other. . . . . . .
