finally got it in!

my rib cage is all brused from taking the manifold and turbo in and out 18 times! now heres the problem: went real easy for the first 50 miles. no boost over 15lbs. finally rolled into it from about 40mph. boost went to 43psi. then came the check engine light. code p1740 and p0234. i took out the eletric boost thing out of the stock turbo and plugged it in and zip tied it off to the side. what gives with the codes? shouldnt the edge ez fool the computer of the boost #? did i do somthing wrong? thanks for any help..... james

Just curious how you read the codes?

One or the other code may have been an old code when just one of those is what set the lamp this time around.

P1740 = Suggests a fault in the Torque Converter Clutch circuit.

P0234 = The ECM detected an overboost condition.

I have seen a post that said the EZ does not actually do boost fooling. The SPS66 came with a jumper for the connector to the electronic wastegate. Call Edge and verify if it really does boost fooling.

about a year ago my transmission crapped out. it wouldnt down shift when stopping and would stall the truck out. it turned out to be a bad pcm. i'm really suprised when you spend a ton of money on a turbo it should come with all necessary hardware to make it work in it's perticular application. it didn't come with directions, owners manual, required new bolts or boost fooler. i cant wait to tow with this baby! i'll keep you guys posted on the performance of this turbo. gotta go find edge's phone number... ... . james :D

tobaccogrower - the IIPS62 should come with a jumper that plugs into the stock turbo connector (that previously was plugged into the electronic wastegate on the stock turbo). I would definitely touch base with the guys at Industrial Injections (Brady) - I'm sure they will get you one.

I agree with your sentiments concerning the lack of instructions and missing parts - I too was missing manifold studs and instructions.

I will tell you this, however, once you get that turbo dialed in - you wont regret the purchase.
