I have two codes I have questions about. The first one is 0234, the explaination for this one that I have is... . turbo boost limit exceeded problem detected in turbocharger wastegate. The other code is 1693, the explaination I have for this one is DTC Detected in companion module A fault has been generated in companion engine control module. Also... . DTC in PCM/ECM or DTC detected in ECM A 9companion DTC9 was set in both the ECM and PCM. What does all this mean? I'm a newbie so have patience. I also noticed that when I start my truck in the morning the rpms jump about 100 until it warms up, then its just fine.

THe 1693 code is just a code to let you know there is another code has been set. That is what I was told. Some codes can be erased by disconnecting the battery for a while and others have to be removed via the DRBIII scanner at your friendly dodge dealer of friend.

You have an over boost code that is from going over 26 psi (or there abouts). If you are running a programmer/box w/o a boost fooler you will get the code. The 1693 is a companion code that tells the Tech that he may have to pull recorded values from the ECM/PCM to identify peak #'s stored.

and as far as the 100rpm jump when you first start it up sounds to me to be your intake air heater cycling, that's normal it's got something like a 145amp fuse onit, that sucker honks!

it's got a #6 or 8 wire to it and if you follow it down you'll see a couple of rubber mounted relays on the driver side fender well, reason I'm pointing that out is, and I've never heard anyone in TDR complain about this is a fellow TDR buddy of mine rides down lots of gravel roads and his contacts welded and kilt his battery, stranded!
