used wvo oil to heat your home?

I just bought a 84 Benz 300 TD.

I belive the injectors might be fouled . Becasue of a poor veggy conversion.

Is their anyway to clean and replace or do i just need 5 new ones?

Also is their any forums that deal with this type of car ? I need some pump adjustment done. As well as wondering how to get just a little more from the old girl.

Dale,

Don't know about forums for your car - but there must be plenty. I usually take a trip to Mr. Google to find that stuff.

As for the injectors, I've heard people speak well of something called "SeaFoam"... I've never had to deal with injectors already fouled.

I typically run between 50% and 80% WVO Blend, using about 8oz of power service per 10 gallons as part of the blending process (along with RUG & IPA).

Since last June when I started, it's been running well.

Good luck,

Mark

I would head on over to the Frybrid.com forums. Chris Goodwin seems to have his act together on the benz's.

What brand kit was installed, or is it a home grown one?

I have had fair success by soaking the injectors for a couple of days in injector cleaner, but you may just want to take them to an injection shop and have them tested while they are out. A pro cleaning won't cost that much and they will check the spray pattern and pop pressures as well.

There are a couple of great MB Diesel forums. Try the ones are mercedesshop.com

Injector tips for that thing are pretty cheap. Go to an injection shop and have them cleaned, or just put new tips on. I've got my own pop tester, and if I remember right I bought new tips for my 300SD for under $20. 00 each, and then adjusted them. You should be able to get it done for a reasonable price. BTW, I had a veg oil conversion on mine too, then I grenaded the motor during an extended WOT run.

Good luck!
