Cold Air Intake

Can anyone suggest a good cold air intake for a 2010 6. 7. I cant find any for the 10s. All the intakes I have looked up are for the 07. 5 to 09s. Then again Ive heard people say that theres no reason to put a cold air intake on the 6. 7s cuz the stock air box is sufficient.



Any advice?

A lot of people are using the S&B intake system. But some are reporting codes being thrown while others report all good. I used a AFE Pro dry drop in. I also used a DPP cool hose. No seat of the pants changes but I'll never have to replace the filter and no oil. The tube is nice and clean after 2K miles.

Well I read somewhere that if I bought an S&B intake it would throw a code, and then Id have to buy a chip to delete it. Which is something I dont wanna have to do.



So you kept stock airbox and just swapped out intake tube and filter?

Yes that is what I did. But you don't even have to change out the air tube if you don't want too. Many sugest just removing the internal baffle from the tube. It will give a hint more turbo whistle. I haven't had a sealing problem with it either. Apparently some dropin's might not seal as well as the stock filter.

Oh man! I pulled that contraption out of my intake today. Who the heck created this unbelieveable thing?

I believe they put that in the air tube to keep the whistle nice and quiet.

Well I put in a performance air filter and the boost tube like tryingit suggested. Today I started up my truck and the engine light was on. So I dont know if the intake threw a code or what. Its probly something else cuz I put the intake on almost a week ago and light came on today.
