cold air is blowin'

Ever since my dad got his '91 D250 it has let air in on the passenger side, through the vent. He has it duct taped off for now. Is there some way to close it off, like the vent on the drivers side? Any input would be greatly appriciated, because I am the one who has to ride on that side. the cooler temps we had the other day made me want to get it fixed properly.

There is some sort of door on that side to allow fresh air in while using heat/ac etc. It may be stuck open with leaves or something. I would start by trying to see if it operates correctly. You can access it through the glove box hole.

Not sure if it is the same design but I had to get into that part on my ex father-in-laws and clean out ALOT of leaves so the vacuum operated door would move. It was really easy though, I think I stuck a wet/dry vac in to get most of the leaves out.
