Since my injector hiatus I have been going through an issue where from time to time my overdrive doesnt kick in. Even today on the side roads no overdrive so i turned around to get the car and of course then it finally shifts into od. anyone else have this happen. I've been thinking for a while now that a new tc and vb are in order, so i dont know if this is a forum no-no but those who sell them give me the best price you can on a combo set of the two.

Was it completely warmed up? When its extremely cold like it has been around here lately it takes my truck about 10 minutes before OD works and the TC will lock. What you are explaining could be normal in this nasty cold weather.

yes the person above is totally right and took the words right out of my mouth having gone through some school.

You need to sit and think to yourself has the weather changed since the injector issues? have my warm up procedures changed? I have been there done the same thing. I had a problem only when cold (cranksensor) I then followed a companys technical support suggestion which said bypass the aftermarket tuner harness and hook the factory wiring harness back to its original spot and drive it for a week. I did that and had no problem. So I bought a new harness fought to get the old on off and the new on (stinkin cam sensor location). I then fired it up backed up about 2 or 3 feet and the problem was back. I finally figured out that the crank sensor would act up only when the engine was cold. The problems did start after i power washed mud from the engine bay top bottom and sides. So I imagine the cold would cause the sensor to ice some how someway. I never to a CKS apart to figure out where ice would affect it but my problem was only when it was less than 32 degres and went away with new CKS. So all I am saying is consider the things you wouldn't normally expect such as a change in outside temp on the way to work.

The coolant temp stops O/D from activating until a certain temp threshold is reached. That spec is set in the PCM`s base calibration info. Normal..... :-laf
