Cold Start Temps

I will be taking a ski vacation in the Colorado Rockies next week. There are no block heater hook-ups where I will be staying. Will it start at 10 degrees +/- if I cycle the grid heaters a couple of times?

My '03 started at temps well below zero in Alaska last year without being plugged in. Actaully it was but the d@mn kids would unplug it every night for kicks. It'll be noisy as he!! for the first few minutes and will jump straight up to fast idle but you shouldn't have any problems.

Cummins cold test

I would bet you a dollar to a rolling donut it will start, it's a Cummins not no Powerstroke. Should not be a problem.

you probably wont even have to cycle the grids-once will do it at that temp.

Make sure your batteries are in good shape, and it should start o. k.

put some crazy glue on the ext coard. It stays wet until anyone touches it. . he he he. . Works great on toilet seats too! I had to say that because Im going to the in laws house and need something to look foreward to do :-laf since they have always hated me! :-laf :-laf :-laf

My 96 started at -23 w/o plug in. Dodge claims these new 3 g are better. so 10 should be nothing. Doc
