after my truck sits for a day or 2, I start it up, within 5 or 10 seconds the truck will feel amost like it dies or stumbles, but catches again. It only last about 1/2 sec. It only does it once at startup, only when cold.

Tomorrow I got to remember to turn the AC off first, then try it to see if it does it. maybe its the compressor comming on, but its locked

My feer is its the injection pump going bad, and I leave Friday (I hope) for the 0uter banks (around a 9 hour tow)

anybody else remember having this problem Oo.

1998, built 7/98. 90,000 miles. I just put a lift pump on about 2K or 3K miles ago. Not sure where I could be leaking fuel in, all new washers, every where I cut the fuel lines on my "failed attempt" to put on a pusher pump is repaired with fuel line, 6" slide over line on each side of the cut, with 2 hose clamps each side.

I got all the compression fittings sitting in a bucket here that I could repair the steel line with more steel line.

It did not do it this morning. I left the AC off when I started it. For some reason I think the the stumble is really when the AC comes on the first time as the compressor seems to cycle on about 2 seconds after its started.

Thanks for the reply. Gives me something to think about.

If it was sucking air, I would think WOT would show signs of weakness? right now its running like it has a brand new lift pump on it :)

Sounds like the fuel system is getting air into it... Check all connections and make sure they are tight. What year truck? Miles?
