Truck in signature. Back in 03 I had a friend hook up Smarty and I played a bit to see if I wanted my own, decided not. Benefit was a few changes to computer stayed like warm up increase and decrease idle.
So here's my question:
Recently pretty cold like 0-10 degrees, block heater not plugged in. WTS goes off, starts as usual = a few cranks then fires up, idle starts to increase and when tack gets to about 1300 it stays there for 15 seconds or so, then the needle sort of moves a little like a 32nd" up & down, no change in actual engine rpm, then it sounds like all of the sudden it's running on 3 cylinders, almost sounds like a 2 stroke dirt bike when you hold compression release on. Is this due to the cold recently? I've never noticed this in past years but I used to plug in block heater and haven't lately. Other than the noise all is good.
